What are your earrings made from?
They are made from polymer clay! This clay is made to last and baked so they are pretty flexible and durable. Using polymer clay also makes them very light weight! Any piece that will go in your ear is hypoallergenic and nickel free for sensitive ears.
How often do you post new things on your website?
I’m going to try and have new launches every 2-3 weeks. I stay active and up to date on Instagram (@dustyrose_creations1) daily for any and all new products! I will most likely have them on Saturday mornings EST. This is also a one woman show and sometimes things may not work out as planned so follow me on Instagram for all updates!
My package is missing or arrived broken, what do I do?
Unfortunately, once the package is in the hands of the postal service, I am not responsible for it going missing or breaking. I be sure to pack all orders with extra special care in a box so this does not happen. You will have to send in a claim with the postal service, and if it comes back that it is missing, or they can’t help it is broken, then please send me an e-mail (dustyrosecreations94@gmail.com) right away so I can see what I can do!
How do I take care of my earrings?
Dusty Rose earrings are made to be durable and last, but they still need to be taken care of. Do not set anything heavy on top of them because enough pressure can break them or the earring posts. Polymer clay bakes in heat so do not leave them out in the sun or in any heated areas. If you need to clean your pairs, use a wipe or a lint free jewelry cloth. Do not shower in any of the earrings or wear them while sleeping.
When do you ship out after I order?
Everything on my website is in stock and ready to be shipped out when ordered! I can usually have an order at the post office either that day or the next business day. Sometimes, I may offer a pre-order which means it will be something that is not in stock and could take up to 2 weeks to get it made and shipped.
I’ve gotten my earrings and accidently broke one myself. Can I get a replacement or refund?
No. Once they are safe and in your hands, they are now your responsibility to take care. I be sure to make my earrings with the best products so this does not happen, but it can if you are not taking care of them. I am a small business and cannot afford to offer lifetime warranties.
Apparel FAQs
How do you make the graphic designs on the shirt?
The graphic designs are printed with a digital heat FX printer onto a transfer paper that is then heat pressed onto the garment. This way ensures that it will last for many washes and wears!
How long does apparel take to ship?
Please allow up to 10 business days (2 weeks) for shirts to ship. They are made as they are ordered and unfortunately we cannot keep already made apparel in stock right now.
What kind of fabric are your t-shirts?
Each shirt will have fabric specifications in the descriptions. We be sure to use good shirts that will last for a long time. The description will also name the brand of the t-shirt and color.
What is the “Mess Ups” page?
The “Mess Ups” page is where I will post any t-shirts that have a little something wrong with them, for a cheaper price. The description will say exactly what is wrong with the garment, while also having a picture so you can see it as well. It could be something as small as a tiny bit of the design didn’t peel off onto the shirt or could be the whole design is crooked. I don’t want to waste any materials and some people may not mind apparel that is not perfect.

What is bookish merch?
Bookish Merch is handmade items that are inspired by popular book series. Or it can also be items that are geared towards people who are avid book readers.
How will I know when you have new bookish merch available?

I try to post daily (at least Monday-Friday) and share updates on everything from what I’m working on, to when there will be launches!
Why is there a separate Instagram account for bookish merch?
The bookish merch is for a very specific target audience! I didn’t think the styles and subjects would be enjoyed by most of my followers from @dustyrose_creations1. The new accounts name was a fun word play on my business name, and thus, Dusty Books Collection was born!
What are some series you plan on working on?
As of right now, I am starting on A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. I would like to then have collections following her two other series as well! After that, I will definitely be exploring more books and series but nothing is decided yet.
Are you officially licensed?
Yes! All of the SJM styles have been approved by her and her team! Disclaimer:

Why are your bookish merch earrings more expensive than your regular earrings?
The bookish merch styles are all officially licensed which means that SJM gets a cut of everything of hers that I sell. Plus, a lot of the bookish items are more detailed and require a lot of time and effort just to make one pair! The scenic ones with all the small details are very beautiful, but take up most of my time.
